The Rage Room
i need a fucking explanation
One day my friend of 17 years came up to me. “I have to show you something.” That’s all he would say on the matter. I couldn’t pry any more information out of him during the 4 hour long drive to this mystery destination. We arrived at this very poor town just after dark. ‘Poor’ was putting it lightly, it was practically in ruins and completely deserted. “Oh cool, are gonna explore this ghost town?” I asked him. Still no response. He took me to the edge of the town to a large building that was relatively still intact. We stood at the base of the stairs for a moment, just taking in this fortress among ruins and debris. After what seemed forever, my friend motioned towards the entrance. Looking back, I should of been freaked out over the strange silence of my friend who is now wanting me to walk into this building, but at the time I felt drawn into this building. I felt calm. Each step I took up the stairs, the stronger I was drawn to this building. When I finally made it into the building, I noticed my head was pounding. A faint hum could be heard at the far end of the building, towards the stairs leading the to second level. I knew that’s where I needed to go. Low, quiet whimpering was heard in a closed room to my left, a liquid leaking underneath the door and to my feet. I paid it no mind and continued down the hall, the hum growing louder. As I got closer I could tell there was no going back. I had come too far and I needed to see it. My face now slick with sweat I began my ascension up the stairs to the second floor. The hum began to get to an unbearable level. I collapsed to the floor a few times, not certain of how long I was incapacitated. But I pressed on. I finally reached my destination. The hum, so loud my teeth were vibrating and my ears starting to bleed. The sign above the door simply read RAGE ROOM. I could hear something moving around in the room. I knew I needed to see. I reached out to open the door. The humming stopped and…
